Oxford Women’s captain Catherine Wilcock, is set to lead a team comprised of talented newcomers and experienced players against defending champions Cambridge University on Thursday 8th December.
Wilcock, who will be aiming for her third blue, will start at fly-half in a back line that has been moving from strength to strength in the run up to Twickenham. Alongside a strong pack, the backs have combined for three hard fought wins in the extremely competitive BUCS Premier South division, two of which came against the 2015 division champions, University of Gloucestershire.
Their form this season, which included recent back to back wins, will give the Dark Blues confidence as they look to take back the Varsity Match title at the home of England Rugby, having been beaten in the 2015 meeting.
The 30th Women’s Varsity Match and the 135th Men’s match against Oxford and Cambridge will return to Twickenham on Thursday 8th December, with tickets on sale now. 2 for 1 adult tickets are now available online on all £28 ticket categories.
