Saturday 4th March will see an exciting double header in the Varsity series, as the Cambridge and Oxford Men’s U20’s sides face off, followed by the CURUFC Tigers taking on the OURFC Panthers.
Both sides have been announced ahead of their clash at Grange Road, with all squads possessing experience and depth throughout.
At 1pm the Oxford U20’s will be hoping to replicate their impressive 27-3 victory last year over their Cambridge counterparts. Despite not having much time to gel together the Dark Blues possess experience across the side with a number of players having represented Blues and Greyhounds squads in the past, which they will be looking to to lead them past a talented Cambridge side led by Fitzwilliam student, Harry Moir.
Following the men’s match at 4pm, in what is sure to be another hotly contest fixture, the CURUFC women’s 2nd team will be looking to replicate their impressive performance in last year’s 24-10 victory over Oxford at Iffley Road.
Both squads possess strong line ups, with CURUFC Tigers scrumhalf Katherine Monks looking to lead from the front as she captains her side against Gwen Cartwright’s OURFC Panthers, who will be well prepared having had more fixtures than ever before this term.
