Daniel Dass, the man who led Cambridge to their first victory in the Varsity Match in seven years in 2016, will be back at Grange Road today when he gives the Light Blues a final test ahead of next month’s clash against Oxford at Twickenham.
Now playing at Barnes in National League 2 South, the Irish flanker is joined up front by another of the heroes of 2016, lock Tim Bond, in a powerful looking Mickey Steele-Bodger’s XV that will be lining-up for the 71st time against the Light Blues.
Cambridge skipper Nick Koster is one of nine Blues in the starting XV and his side will be seeking an eighth win in 10 games to date in the build up to the game at Twickenham on Thursday, 6 December.
