With the first Test of the British and Irish Lions Tour of New Zealand at Eden Park just one day away, Varsity Match Lions legends discuss why the All Blacks represent the ultimate challenge.

The British & Irish Lions and The Varsity Match have had a long shared history, with a record 108 Blues who have competed in the Battle of the Blues and toured with the Lions.

At a recent Cambridge Legends event, we spoke to some of the Light Blue Lions ahead of this year’s Lions tour of New Zealand:

Gavin Hastings on what makes New Zealand such a formidable opponent

Rob Andrew on what makes a Lions Tour so special

Eddie Butler on why New Zealand represent a challenge like no other

Jamie Roberts on why New Zealand is one of the toughest places to tour
