As Cambridge University prepare for their first competitive game of the season against Loughborough this evening, head coach James Shanahan has challenged the squad to build on last year’s Varsity Match victory.
The Light Blues face a busy 12-week Michaelmas Term which includes fixtures against Cambridge, Northampton Saints and Trinity College Dublin in the build-up to the Varsity match on December 7.
Captain Charlie Amesbury has announced the squad to take part in the first men’s pre-season fixture of the term. We are delighted to welcome a number of new faces to Grange Road, including number eight and former Durham Captain Buchan Richardson, freshman centre Jake Hennessey, and former Scotland U20 Archie Russell.
Kick off is 7pm on Wednesday 20th September and the bar / cafe will both be open as normal.
