Oxford University Rugby Football Club (OURFC)

OURFC Women, founded in 1988, consists of two teams: the Women’s Blues and the Panthers.

The Blues compete in the BUCS Premiership South League and play the annual Varsity Match at Twickenham Stadium in December.

The Panthers play a series of ‘friendlies’ against local and southeastern sides in preparation for their Varsity Match which is played in March as double header with the Men’s U20s Varsity, alternating each year between being played at Iffley Road, Oxford, and Grange Road, Cambridge.

Notable former players include Sue Day, who played in three World Cups and remains England’s top try scorer with 61 tries and 59 caps.

In 2013, she became the first female president of Wasps FC in their 146 year history.
