Fiona Shuttleworth (Pembroke, Veterinary Medicine) has been elected as the 2019 Cambridge Women’s captain.

Fiona started at blindside flanker in in the 2017 Varsity Match for CURUFC, then openside flanker, alongside her twin sister, Jenni Shuttleworth (Churchill, Medicine), in the 2018 fixture. Fiona will be supported in her role by the new Women’s Team Manager Alice Elgar (Girton, Veterinary Medicine). Alice is also a veteran of two Varsity Matches at Twickenham, having started at lock in both 2017 and 2018.

Fiona and Alice will be following outgoing Captain Kate Marks (Murray Edwards, History) and Team Manager Mary Coleman (King’s, HSPS).

The Varsity Match 2019 has been confirmed for Thursday 12 December at Twickenham Stadium.

Fans wishing to attend this year’s women’s and men’s Varsity Matches can still get tickets at 2018’s early bird prices for a limited time only.

Adult tickets are available from £20/£40, students from £15 and juniors from £10.
